Zara Larsson condemns ICE

Source: Epic Records

Swedish pop star Zara Larsson has joined a growing list of public figures speaking out against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) following the fatal shooting of a Minnesota resident earlier this month, using her platform to voice both personal frustration and broader political outrage.

In a series of candid Instagram Stories shared this week, Larsson publicly condemned ICE, writing that she “f**cking hate[s] ICE,” after listing the communities and causes she said she stands with, including “immigrants,” “trans people,” and “criminals.”

The singer later addressed messages she received accusing immigrants of being “criminals,” saying the rhetoric hits close to home. Larsson revealed that her long-distance relationship has been shaped by U.S. immigration restrictions, explaining that her boyfriend is unable to travel to the United States because of a years-old marijuana-related conviction.

“We spend months and months apart every year because of a little spliff over 6 years ago,” she wrote, adding pointedly, “I’m not saying it should be legal… wait… yes I am–but that’s another conversation.”

“I’m just saying there’s thousands and thousands of people who go to jail and prison over none violent crimes like drugs, mostly black and brown people because of Ronald Reagan being racist in the 80s and fucking up communities,” Zara asserted.

As the discussion continued, Larsson’s tone grew sharper and more confrontational. “Idk about yall but l’d rather have someone smoking crack on my couch than a fucking ICE agent ewwwwwwwww. They’re criminals too. Killing, kidnapping, violent, hateful ones,” she added.

The Duffer Brothers teases a ‘Stranger Things’ spinoff

Even with its five-season story now complete, Stranger Things is refusing to fade into the Upside Down. The hit Netflix franchise is entering a new chapter, with creators Matt and Ross Duffer confirming that multiple expansions of the universe are actively in development, including a live-action spinoff centered on entirely new characters and a closely guarded project they are not yet ready to reveal.

Speaking about the future of the franchise, Matt Duffer stressed that growth is happening deliberately rather than all at once. “It’s just one step at a time,” he said, explaining that current plans include the animated series Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 alongside the ongoing stage production Stranger Things: The First Shadow. Still, he teased that fans have not heard everything.

“There’s one other thing I can’t talk about, so I just sort of lied to you,” he admitted with a laugh, adding that the unnamed project is “really cool” but firmly under wraps.

According to the Duffers, the upcoming live-action spinoff represents their main creative focus. Matt noted that the team has a clear philosophy guiding how the universe will continue, emphasizing that their approach differs from sprawling franchises like Star Wars or Game of Thrones. “We’re just not like that,” he said, underscoring their desire to avoid overextending the original narrative.

They believe that, to move forward, a bigger leap is necessary. “We have to build out a new mythology,” Ross explained. “So the goal is to break it wide open and do something very new and very different.”

Trump denies Diddy’s request for pardon

President Donald Trump has publicly shut the door on any possibility of clemency for Sean “Diddy” Combs, confirming that the imprisoned music mogul will not be receiving a presidential pardon.

During an interview with The New York Times, Trump was asked to weigh in on several high-profile inmates and whether any of them might merit executive leniency. When Combs’ name came up, the president acknowledged that the Bad Boy Records founder had reached out but made it clear the request went nowhere.

Trump said Combs had contacted him “through a letter,” though he declined to share or produce the alleged correspondence when pressed further by reporters.

The president’s reluctance appears tied to a fractured relationship between the two men. In a separate August interview with Newsmax, Trump reflected on his past connection with Combs, saying they were once friendly but grew distant after Trump entered politics.

When pressed on whether a pardon was completely off the table, Trump didn’t mince words, indicating that clemency was unlikely and concluding that it was “probably a no.”
