JENNIE for V Magazine V158

BLACKPINK’s Jennie has confirmed that her second solo album is scheduled for release in 2026.

Speaking in a recent interview, she said she is preparing for “a new chapter,” adding that she feels she is “beginning again” creatively. Jennie noted that she plans to explore deeper vocal work and experiment with blending Korean and English lyrics.

The album will follow her 2025 solo debut "Ruby", which marked her first full-length project as a solo artist.

‘Goo Hara Act’ Enters Full Effect, Restricting Inheritance Rights of Negligent Parents

Goo Hara of KARA

South Korea’s “Goo Hara Act” has been fully enforced from January 1, 2026, the Supreme Court announced. The law allows courts to revoke inheritance rights of parents who failed to support their children during childhood or committed serious wrongdoing against them. The legislation follows public debate after the 2019 death of singer Goo Hara and subsequent inheritance disputes involving her estranged mother.

ADOR Terminates Contract With NewJeans’ Danielle, Sues The Artist For $30 Million

On Monday, ADOR terminated its exclusive contract with NewJeans member Danielle and announced plans to pursue legal action against a member of her family, citing responsibility for the ongoing dispute involving the group. The agency stated that it had become difficult for Danielle to continue activities as both a NewJeans member and an ADOR artist, and that formal notice of contract termination has been delivered. Yonhap News also reported that the agency is suing the artist, her family member, and Min Hee Jin for $30 Million.

The announcement follows a prolonged legal conflict between ADOR and the group that began after former CEO Min Hee Jin’s public feud with parent company HYBE. After the dispute escalated, all five members claimed their contracts were invalid, prompting ADOR to file a lawsuit to confirm their validity. The court ruled in favor of ADOR in October.

Subsequently, members Haerin and Hyein returned to the agency, while Hanni confirmed her return and Minji remains in discussions. ADOR said talks with Danielle did not lead to an agreement. The agency also accused Danielle’s family member and Min of contributing to the conflict by influencing the members over an extended period, and said further details would be disclosed later.
