AMAs 2026: BTS, Cardi B & Sabrina Carpenter Clean Up.

The 2026 American Music Awards proved that absence only makes the fan-heart grow fonder, because military hiatus or not, BTS completely owned the night. The K-pop titans made history by snagging the fan-voted Artist of the Year trophy for a second time, proving their global army is as unstoppable as ever. But they weren't the only ones clearing shelf space; the night turned into a massive three-way tie for the most wins, with BTS, Cardi B, and pop's current IT-girl Sabrina Carpenter all walking away with a casual three trophies each. Meanwhile, new pop sensations Katseye proved the hype is very real by securing the fiercely contested New Artist of the Year award.

While the night was a massive celebration for Sabrina's sweet chart dominance and Cardi’s undeniable star power, it was also a night of shocking upsets. Taylor Swift headed into the evening leading the pack with a massive eight nominations, but shockingly went home completely shut out. She wasn't alone in the cold, either; heavyweights Lady Gaga and breakout star Olivia Dean also walked away empty-handed despite multiple nods.

Rachel Zegler-Led Evita Revival Confirms Broadway Theater and Dates

Director Jamie Lloyd’s critically acclaimed London revival of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita has confirmed details for its highly anticipated Broadway transfer. Starring Olivier and Golden Globe winner Rachel Zegler in the titular role of Eva Perón, the production is set to occupy Broadway’s historic Winter Garden Theatre. Preview performances are scheduled to begin on Saturday evening, February 27, 2027, ahead of an official opening night on Thursday, March 25, 2027. The musical will take over the venue immediately following a strictly limited 10-week fall engagement of Lloyd's production of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing.

The Broadway transfer follows a decorated, sold-out run at the London Palladium last summer, which earned Zegler an Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical alongside multiple accolades at the Evening Standard and WhatsOnStage Awards. Tickets will become available to the general public on Monday, June 1, at 10 AM ET, following exclusive American Express and fan pre-sale windows opening this week. Producers noted that Zegler will not perform at certain scheduled performances during the run, with an alternate lead and additional casting to be announced shortly.
