Crediting Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper for orchestrating the "impossible" reunion, Miley admitted she previously underestimated the deep emotional connection fans feel toward their long-standing friendship. The special is set to be a full-circle moment for Cyrus, who will open the show by driving from her actual home in Malibu to the soundstage, a symbolic nod to the loss and rebirth of her real-life residence and its connection to Hannah’s fictional Malibu house. Even more so with Hans Zimmer in the mix (????) He scored “Interstellar,” by the way. Is this what pop’s been missing? Yeah, probably.

“Click Clack Symphony” is a five-minute triumph that swells into a massive outro. It’s the closest she’s landed to that “Escapism” high. That outro hits — it’s basically the cover in motion: hold on, let go. It’s a mini film in song form.

“The cold never lasts, my darling / It just teaches the heart how to burn,” she sings over sweeping violins and synths that push everything sky-high.

Grab your headphones, hold your ground, next week it all hits. “THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE” the album comes out March 27.
