Ariana Grande Secures First Emmy Nomination After Television Academy Revision

Ariana Grande has received her first Primetime Emmy Award nomination after the Television Academy made a recent update. On July 22, the Academy announced that both Grande and her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo would be included in the nominations for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) for their NBC musical event, Wicked: One Wonderful Night. Initially, when nominations were announced on July 8, the special had received technical nominations like music direction, lighting design, and choreography, but the lead performers were left out until this correction.
This marks Grande’s first time being nominated for a Primetime Emmy, while Erivo now has a total of four career nominations. Erivo celebrated the news on Instagram, sharing behind-the-scenes photos and clips from the special, which Grande also reshared on her feed. Their nominations add to the recognition of the Wicked television event, highlighting its success both critically and commercially.
Netflix Expands Cast for '13 Going on 30' Reboot
Netflix has filled out the ensemble for its upcoming 13 Going on 30 reboot, adding Taylor Zakhar Perez (Red, White & Royal Blue), Owen Thiele (Adults), Nasim Pedrad (Aladdin), Supriya Ganesh (The Pitt), and Myra Molloy (Girls Like Girls) to the supporting cast. The fresh round of additions also includes child actors Charley McCain, Henry Samiri, Audrina Miranda, and Kai Zen. They join previously announced leads Emily Bader and Logan Lerman, alongside a cast that features Adeline Rudolph, Jessica Alba, Taylor Ortega, Tim Meadows, and Dan Bucatinsky.
Production on the project began last month in Los Angeles. While plot details remain under wraps, original stars Jennifer Garner and Judy Greer are expected to make appearances. The project reimagines Gary Winick's classic 2004 Columbia Pictures romantic comedy, which starred Garner as a 13-year-old girl who wakes up as a 30-year-old adult, opposite Mark Ruffalo and Greer.

A source told PEOPLE that long-distance and busy work schedules were the main reasons for their breakup. Despite parting ways romantically, the insider said Carthen, 28, and Vansteenberghe, 25, are still on good terms, maintaining a "deep love and respect" as they move into a friendship.
They first met during the show's Casa Amor twist, although Carthen initially hesitated because Vansteenberghe was linked to Cierra Ortega.
