BTS Suga-Supported Autism Center Launches Basketball Therapy Program

The Min Yoongi Treatment Center at Severance Hospital has introduced a new basketball therapy program for adolescents with autism spectrum disorder, expanding its efforts to support social and emotional development through sports. The initiative was launched with the active support of BTS member Suga.

The treatment center, established after Suga donated 5 billion won (approx. 3,265,013 USD) to Severance Hospital, has been providing music-based social skills therapy for children with autism since opening last year. Building on that work, the hospital has now partnered with the Korean American Special Education Center (KASEC) to develop "MIND-PLAY," a basketball therapy program adapted for Korea from KASEC's integrated basketball model. The 12-week pilot program is held once a week and aims to improve participants' social interaction, motor skills, confidence, and emotional well-being through activities alongside trained volunteer partners.

Hospital officials said the program reflects the center's goal of helping young people with autism build skills that support greater independence and a better quality of life. Suga, who is also known as an NBA Global Ambassador, reportedly played an active role in supporting the initiative.

Beyond his philanthropic efforts, Suga also co-authored The MIND Program (Music-Interaction-Network-Diversity), a clinical manual released in March 2026 with Professor Cheon Geun Ah of Severance Hospital. The book outlines a 12-session music-based therapy curriculum designed to help children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder strengthen communication, social interaction, and emotional development.

ADOR Explains Why It Only Sued Danielle

ADOR has clarified why it filed a damages lawsuit solely against Danielle, saying the case is based on alleged individual contract violations rather than actions involving the entire group. The explanation comes as speculation continues over the future of NewJeans and a possible comeback.

During the latest court hearing in Seoul, ADOR argued that Danielle independently participated in several projects without the agency's approval. According to the company, these included work with U.S. band Emotional Oranges, magazine and photo shoot projects, a luxury watch brand partnership, and issues related to an alleged double-contract arrangement. ADOR maintained that the lawsuit targets Danielle because the alleged breaches were specific to her, while Danielle's legal team denied the accusations, insisting she received no separate compensation and arguing that the agency unfairly singled her out.

The legal battle continues amid growing interest in NewJeans' future. For now, Haerin, Hyein, and Hanni have been confirmed to rejoin ADOR, while Minji's decision has not been made public. Although the members' status has fueled comeback speculation, neither ADOR nor the group has announced when they will officially return with new music.

V Pleads With Fans to Stop Visiting BTS' Tour Hotels

BTS member V has urged fans to stop visiting the hotels where the group is staying during its ongoing world tour, saying repeated visits are affecting his privacy, rest, and overall well-being. His message comes as concerns over invasive fan behavior continue to grow.

Posting on the fan platform Weverse, V thanked supporters for their enthusiasm but asked them to respect the members' personal space while they are off stage. He explained that being able to walk around freely, enjoy local restaurants, and rest between performances is an important part of life on tour. To emphasize his exhaustion, V also shared a screenshot from his sleep tracker showing that he had slept for only about two and a half hours before continuing with his schedule.

The singer's request comes as BigHit Music continues to strengthen its response to privacy violations. The agency has previously warned that visiting artists' accommodations, trespassing, stalking, or leaving gifts at private residences are not expressions of fan support but actions that violate personal boundaries and may result in legal consequences. The company has vowed to continue taking legal action against those who invade its artists' privacy.

Fans gathering at hotels or airports has become a widespread part of fandom culture around the world, but it remains one of the most criticized behaviors by both celebrities and fellow fans. The issue is not limited to K-pop fandoms, as artists across the global entertainment industry have repeatedly spoken out against the practice. Despite ongoing awareness campaigns and stricter enforcement, the problem continues to persist.

Favorite New Music This Week

Few K-pop unit debuts arrive with a sound this fully realized. Rather than playing it safe, "V8" commits to its vision from start to finish, delivering an album that feels both daring and remarkably self-assured.

The project feels like a natural evolution rather than a surprising detour. Its embrace of electronic, hyperpop, and alternative sounds creates a cohesive identity that suits both members. For The8 (Minghao), the direction makes perfect sense after years of exploring DJ culture and performing club sets, while Vernon has long hinted at this sonic palette through solo releases like "Black Eye". Together, they build on those influences instead of chasing trends, resulting in a project that feels confident, authentic, and refreshingly original.
