Pop singer Chappell Roan is addressing a viral incident involving a young fan after a tense encounter at a hotel in Brazil drew backlash online.

The situation surfaced when Brazilian soccer player Jorginho Frello claimed that his wife and 11-year-old daughter had an upsetting experience with a member of Roan’s security team. According to Frello, his daughter briefly recognized the singer while passing by, smiled, and returned to her seat–only for a security guard to allegedly confront them in what he described as an aggressive manner. He said the exchange left his daughter shaken and in tears.

Roan responded a day later through a video posted on her Instagram Stories, offering her perspective. Filming from her hotel room, the “Hot to Go!” singer said she had no direct interaction with the family. “I didn’t even see a woman and a child,” she explained, adding that she had been quietly having breakfast at the time and was unaware of the situation as it unfolded.

Despite this, Roan expressed regret over the incident and how it affected the family. She emphasized that she holds no negative feelings toward fans, especially young supporters. “I do not hate people who are fans of my music. I do not hate children,” she said, calling the situation upsetting.

She also extended an apology, acknowledging the discomfort caused. Roan said it saddened her that assumptions were made about the family’s intentions and stressed that they “did not deserve that.”

Barry Keoghan is opening up about the impact of online criticism, revealing it has forced him to retreat from both public life and his acting career.

Speaking on The Morning Mash Up on SiriusXM, the 33-year-old actor admitted that constant remarks about his appearance have taken a toll.

“There’s a lot of abuse of how I look,” he said, adding that it has gone beyond what people usually endure. “It’s made me go inside myself and not want to attend places. Not want to go outside.”

Keoghan said the situation has worsened to the point that it is affecting his work. “When that starts leaking into your art, it becomes a problem,” he explained. “You don’t even want to be on screen anymore.”

The Saltburn star also opened up about his worries that his son, Brando, would one day see the comments. “It’s disappointing to the fans, but it’s also disappointing that my little boy has to read all of this stuff when he gets older,” he said.

“I can only sit and take so much,” the actor noted. “I deactivated my account because I can no longer let this stuff distract from my family and my work.”

Former FBI Director Robert Mueller dead at 81

Robert S. Mueller III, the former director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, has died at 81, his family confirmed. He had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2021.

Mueller, known for his reserved and disciplined demeanor, guided the FBI through one of its most transformative periods. Appointed just a week before 9/11, he later worked to reshape the agency into a modern intelligence force while balancing civil liberties.

He returned to the national spotlight in 2017 when the Justice Department named him special counsel to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election. His probe examined ties between Donald Trump’s campaign and Moscow but ultimately stated he could “neither absolve nor accuse” the president of a crime.

Trump remained critical of the investigation even after Mueller’s passing, posting, “Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people!”

Mueller’s appointment followed Trump’s firing of then-FBI director James Comey, a move the president later acknowledged was tied to mounting pressure. “This is terrible. This is the end of my presidency,” reacted the President.
