Charli XCX Steps Into Her Own Spotlight in A24’s The Moment Trailer

A24 has dropped the first trailer for Charli XCX’s new film, The Moment, a glossy, meta fever dream in which the pop disruptor plays a fictionalised version of herself. Pulled from an original concept Charli cooked up, the film follows a rising star trying to keep her grip on reality while prepping for her first arena tour, wrestling with the usual cocktail of fame, scrutiny, and industry chaos.

Directed by Aidan Zamiri, The Moment comes stacked with a delightfully unpredictable cast: Kylie Jenner, Alexander Skarsgård, Rachel Sennott, Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, and a long list of Charli-world regulars and cult favourites, including Shygirl and A. G. Cook. If the trailer is anything to go by, expect hyper-pop glamour, emotional turbulence, and a very Charli blend of sincerity and satire.

Ticketmaster’s “Typo” Sends Olivia Dean Fans Into Chaos

Olivia Dean fans experienced quite the shock this week when Ticketmaster mistakenly listed tickets for her August 2026 TD Garden concert at outrageous prices, with some surpassing $700 above expectations. Screenshots of these prices quickly circulated on social media, leading to rampant speculation about bots, surge pricing, and the challenges of securing concert tickets in general. Complaints mounted, with many fans expressing frustration at yet another chapter in Ticketmaster’s ongoing issues with presales.

Ticketmaster later clarified that the high prices were due to a “typo.” They announced that the actual ticket cost was supposed to be $53.45, a stark contrast to the figures that went viral. Anyone who ended up paying the inflated prices was refunded automatically. However, the explanation didn’t completely quell the doubt; many users were left wondering how such a significant error could occur on a platform of Ticketmaster’s size, reigniting discussions about transparency and pricing in today’s live music scene.

Best New Track: The Girl in the Bubble from Wicked: For Good—The Soundtrack 🫧

The movie Wicked Part 2 debuts today and its soundtrack lands alongside it, which features two all-new original songs. Let’s stand as witnesses to the tale’s end and mourn the Wicked!

The second act falls short of offering songs with the electrifying impact of “Popular” and “Defying Gravity” but still has its highlights. In the twin climaxes of “No Good Deed” and “For Good,” Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande embody the very soul of their characters…if you’ve followed the press tour at all, you know just how much they care.

The two new songs weave seamlessly into the tapestry of the soundtrack. Listening to the album in its entirety, you might hardly notice that they aren’t part of the original musical. “No Place Like Home” winks delightfully at the original Wizard of Oz. Elphaba rallies Oz’s creatures to defend their land; after all, it’s their home as well.

In “The Girl in the Bubble,” you really get to see Glinda’s true colors through all the sparkle. Pink and Popular aside, she’s a girl still learning what it means to lead. Grande’s voice here, naturally, is dazzling. A showstopper like this? Expect at least one, maybe two, Oscar nods.

So long, Wicked. We’ll miss your magic.
