Gracie Abrams Announces Third Album Daughter From Hell

Clear your schedules and grab your tissues, because Gracie Abrams is officially entering a new era. The singer-songwriter took to social media on Monday morning to reveal that her third studio album, Daughter From Hell, is set to drop on July 17 via Interscope Records. Sharing her own excitement with a chaotic "Whoa whoa whoa" caption, Gracie admitted she’s "freaking out" to finally get this project into the world. Fans won't have to wait long for a first taste, either; the lead single, "Hit the Wall," is scheduled to crash onto streaming platforms this Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.

For those wondering if she’s sticking to the sound that made fans fall in love with her, the answer is a resounding yes. Gracie has once again teamed up with her musical soulmate and longtime collaborator Aaron Dessner to write and produce the record. Following the massive success of Good Riddance and The Secret of Us, the duo seems ready to dive even deeper into the introspective, gut-wrenching lyricism that has become Gracie’s trademark. July can’t come soon enough, but until then, we’ll be counting down the hours until "Hit the Wall" gives us our first look at the Daughter From Hell universe.

FKA Twigs to Embody Josephine Baker in New Biopic

FKA Twigs is moving from the stage to the history books. After much anticipation, it’s confirmed that the Grammy-winning artist will star as Jazz Age icon Josephine Baker in a new biopic from Cuties director Maïmouna Doucouré. Backed by Studiocanal, the project is set to begin filming this fall and will be a major highlight at the Cannes market. Twigs, who recently appeared in A24’s Mother Mary, expressed her deep honor in taking on the role, describing Baker as a "visionary, groundbreaking woman" whose legacy of talent and heroism remains incredibly relevant today.

The film aims to capture the full, cinematic scope of Baker’s life, from her rise as a superstar in 1925 Paris to her dangerous undercover work for the French Resistance during World War II. It also promises to highlight her pivotal role as a civil rights activist in the 1950s and 60s. Perhaps most importantly, the project has the full blessing and support of Baker’s family, including her sons and the "Rainbow Tribe" of adopted children.

Christopher Nolan Taps Travis Scott for Bard Role in $250M Epic The Odyssey

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has added Travis Scott to its cast, with Nolan confirming in a new interview with Time that the rapper will play a bard, likely the legendary Demodocus. Nolan said the role reflects the story’s roots in oral poetry, calling that tradition “analogous to rap.” The casting marks another major step in Scott's career after Aggro Dr1ft and reunites him with Nolan following Tenet.

With a reported $250 million budget, The Odyssey is the most expensive film of Nolan’s career and is aiming for a gritty, historically distinct feel. Composer Ludwig Göransson said Nolan banned a traditional orchestra from the score to suit a world that existed before orchestras. Shot entirely on IMAX 70mm, the film also stars Matt Damon, Zendaya, and Tom Holland.

Sebastian Stan and Annabelle Wallis Expecting First Child

Marvel star Sebastian Stan and actress Annabelle Wallis are officially expanding their family, with Deadline confirming the couple is expecting their first baby together. After nearly four years of keeping their romance largely under the radar, Stan broke his usual silence on his private life to share his excitement, simply telling the outlet, "I want to be a good dad." The news follows a high-profile 2025 awards season where the pair stepped out of their usual low-key New York lifestyle to celebrate Stan’s acclaimed performances, marking a major new chapter for the duo since they first sparked dating rumors back in 2022.
