On Monday, SM Entertainment announced EXO’s upcoming eighth full-length album, expected to be released in the first quarter of 2026. However, the announcement did not mention CBX (Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin), the three members who recently lost their 6th lawsuit against SM Entertainment over music distribution fees related to EXO’s sixth album.
Later that same day, CBX issued a statement explaining that due to the ongoing legal dispute between the two parties, the trust between them had been damaged. They added that they believe it is necessary to rebuild that trust before rejoining group activities.

On Friday, 2PM member and actor Taecyeon announced his plans to marry his longtime partner. The couple has reportedly been dating since 2020, and earlier this year, photos of them in Paris went viral, with fans speculating they were engagement pictures.
While the artist happily shared the news, his agency, 51K, also requested privacy on behalf of Taecyeon and his non-celebrity fiancée, asking fans to refrain from seeking further personal information.

NewJeans Lose One-Year Legal Battle Against ADOR

On Monday, NewJeans lost their year-long legal battle against ADOR, a subsidiary of HYBE. The 41st Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favor of ADOR, confirming that the exclusive contracts with the five NewJeans members remain valid.
The court stated that ADOR did not breach its exclusive contracts by dismissing Min Hee Jin as CEO. It further explained that Min Hee Jin had been offered the position of board director, which would have allowed her to continue overseeing the group’s musical direction, a role the members deemed essential to their success. However, she declined the offer, and the court ruled that ADOR could not be held responsible for that decision.
The court also noted that “former CEO Min Hee Jin initiated the media battle on April 3 and April 11, 2024, not to protect NewJeans, but to pursue her own independence.”
Additionally, the court dismissed the members’ bullying allegations, citing insufficient evidence.
Shin & Kim LLC, the legal representatives for the NewJeans members, stated that the group intends to appeal the ruling. Although they respect the court’s decision, the members emphasized that returning to ADOR is impossible due to broken trust.

idle's Miyeon delivered a captivating artistic statement with “Reno,” a cinematic pre-release track featuring Colde.
The song blends noir-inspired storytelling with moody instrumentation, unfolding like a monologue from a tragic love story. Through haunting lyrics such as “I saw a man down in Reno, I’m the one who will be his last love,” Miyeon explores love’s darker, obsessive side, a passion that feels both intoxicating and fatal.
Her expressive vocals glide over the slow, jazz-tinged production, creating a hypnotic tension. “Reno” proves Miyeon’s versatility as she seamlessly bridges music and drama in a hauntingly beautiful way.
