2 Women Trespass Into CORTIS’ Dorm at Midnight

Two women were arrested after allegedly trespassing into the dormitory building of CORTIS in Seoul at around 2 a.m. on July 24, with police reportedly finding them on a different floor of the apartment complex.

According to a report, the incident came to light after the group’s manager noticed that a package left outside the dormitory had been opened and that the front door was ajar. Police were called to the scene and arrested the two women, who reportedly told investigators that they had purchased information about the group’s accommodation through social media and visited the location. They reportedly denied damaging the package or entering the idols’ actual residence.

The incident has once again raised concerns over sasaeng behavior and the increasingly invasive lengths some fans go to in order to access celebrities’ private information. The situation is particularly disturbing given that most of CORTIS’ members are minors, making the alleged intrusion into their living space at night even creepier.

WOODZ Confirmed to Star in Upcoming Historical Action Film

WOODZ has been casted in a major historical action film, joining an ensemble cast that includes Lee Byung Hun, Go Youn Jung, and Lee Do Hyun.

Production company Hive Media Corp announced on July 22 that the singer will star in "Nambeol" as Cheot Nom, a highly skilled archer known for his exceptional marksmanship. Set during the early Joseon dynasty, the film follows nine warriors from different social backgrounds as they journey to Tsushima Island to rescue captives taken by Japanese pirates.

Cheot Nom joins the dangerous mission to support the family he left behind, with his strong sense of responsibility driving him to protect both his loved ones and fellow warriors. "WOODZ will bring a new sense of vitality to the project with his fresh energy and compelling performance," the production team said.

IU Changes Album and Concert Schedule Due to Health Issues

IU has postponed both her upcoming album release and concert plans as she continues to deal with worsening symptoms related to her chronic Patulous Eustachian tube dysfunction.

The singer shared the update with fans on July 20, explaining that her planned September concert at Goyang Stadium and domestic tour would no longer go ahead. “My ear symptoms have always been erratic, fluctuating between good and bad, but recently, they have persisted day and night for days at a time,” IU wrote, adding that she has repeatedly struggled to regain her condition while singing. Although she has already completed her sixth studio album, its release will also be pushed back by several months because its promotional schedule was planned around the concert and tour.

“I’m truly sorry, and I love you so much,” IU wrote while promising fans a diverse new album and expressing hope to begin 2027 with them. The update comes shortly after IU and Lee Jong Suk ended their four-year relationship; the pair first met in 2012 and confirmed their romance in 2022.

What We Know About HYBE’s New Girl Group, TUIDE

HYBE’s upcoming girl group TUIDE has officially revealed its seven-member lineup ahead of its highly anticipated debut later this year.

The group is managed by A Bold Dream (ABD), HYBE’s new sub-label announced in May, which was established to oversee the group formerly known as PLEDIS Girls. TUIDE’s name combines “tune” and “tide,” reflecting the group’s goal of “tuning the tide” and bringing joy to the world. The lineup consists of Seohee, Elena, Seoyeon, Jia, Saki, Yi Hani, and Seah, with members born between 2006 and 2011.

TUIDE is already drawing attention ahead of its debut, particularly because Seoyeon is the younger sister of TWICE’s Jihyo. The group is expected to make its official debut during the second half of 2026.

Favorite New Music This Week

This week’s favorite song is, surprisingly, not K-pop but trot!

SEVENTEEN’s Dino has fully embraced his alter ego Picheolin with “Micheo Micheo,” an incredibly catchy track that proves the character is more than just a comedy bit. While Picheolin may have started as a joke, the song itself is genuinely a bop—especially if you’re already a fan of trot. Packed with energetic vocals, classic trot flourishes, and an infectious chorus, “Micheo Micheo” is impossible not to enjoy.

The music video is equally entertaining, playing out like a romantic comedy in which Picheolin takes on the role of Cupid. He attempts to bring straight and gay couples together alike, resulting in a series of hilarious and increasingly chaotic situations.
