On March 5, the Seoul High Court rejected an appeal by ATTRAKT in the ongoing copyright dispute over “Cupid,” the 2023 global hit by FIFTY FIFTY. The court sided with Ahn Sungil, CEO of The Givers, confirming that ATTRAKT had no legal grounds to demand copyright ownership.

2NE1’s Park Bom Accuses Bandmate Sandara Park of Drug Use; Sandara Responds With Personal Statement

Sandara Park’s personal statement via Instagram @daraxxi

This week, in a handwritten statement, 2NE1's Park Bom said she had been unfairly labeled a drug user despite taking medication for Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). She further alleged that she was made a “scapegoat” to cover up Sandara Park’s supposed drug issue at the time, urging the public to examine the facts surrounding the case.

Sandara Park quickly denied the accusation. In a brief personal statement shared online, she said she had never used drugs and wished Bom well. The singer also appeared to distance herself from the controversy by unfollowing Bom on Instagram.

Favorite New Music This Week

This week with “Archive .1”, WOODZ delivers a confident record that leans into the gritty rock sound he has gradually embraced over the past few years. The 17-track project feels both personal and ambitious, blending alternative rock, pop, and darker sonic textures while maintaining a cohesive emotional thread throughout the record.

One track that immediately stands out is “Human Extinction.” Driven by explosive guitar riffs and an anthemic chorus, the song captures WOODZ at his most intense, pairing philosophical lyrics with stadium-ready production. The track’s dramatic build and raw energy make it a clear centerpiece of the album.

Across “Archive .1”, WOODZ balances aggression with vulnerability, shifting between heavy instrumentals and reflective moments. The result is an album that feels less like a simple collection of songs and more like a statement, reinforcing his reputation as one of K-pop’s most versatile self-producing artists.
