LISA Partners With Meta for Smart Glasses

BLACKPINK’s LISA has partnered with Meta for an exclusive smart glasses collaboration. The partnership was announced during Meta Connect 2026, Meta’s annual event highlighting developments in virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence.

The collaboration features two limited-edition models: the Meta Adventurer LISA Edition and the Meta Capri LISA Edition. LISA's collection also includes custom star accents on the frames, 14 collectible case charms inspired by LISA’s pets, and exclusive digital photocards.

The collaboration between Meta and the K-pop star has so far received mixed reactions from fans, with some expressing concerns about the potential use of smart glasses to record people without their consent. These concerns come amid broader discussions about the privacy implications of camera-equipped wearable devices.

LISA is also not the first K-pop artist to collaborate with Meta’s eyewear lineup. Earlier this year, BLACKPINK member Jennie served as a global ambassador for Ray-Ban, which has partnered with Meta on its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. The latest collaboration marks another crossover between K-pop and Meta’s growing smart eyewear portfolio.

Fin.K.L Announces Two-Year Project Following 21-Year Hiatus

First-generation K-pop girl group Fin.K.L is set to reunite for the first time in 21 years, following the release of their last single album, "Forever Fin.K.L", in 2005.

On Monday, GEMSTONE E&M announced that all four members: Lee Hyori, Ock Joo Hyun, Lee Jin, and Sung Yuri, are currently preparing for a full-group reunion. The group previously reunited in 2019 for JTBC’s variety show "Camping Club", which marked their first official reunion in years. However, the upcoming project is expected to be more extensive, with GEMSTONE E&M overseeing the group’s full-group activities.

According to the agency, the reunion is intended to be “a fresh start for sustainable activities.” The two-year project is expected to include new music, concerts, documentaries, merchandise, and brand collaborations, with activities planned to lead up to Fin.K.L’s 30th anniversary, on May 22, 2028.

The reunion marks a significant moment for fans who have followed the group since its debut in 1998. While the members have pursued individual careers across music, acting, television, and other fields, the upcoming project will bring all four together for an extended period.

UNIS Disbands After 2.5 Years of Debuting

K-pop girl group UNIS has officially disbanded this Friday after two years and six months of activities.

The eight-member group has officially conclude its full-group activities after the agency and members decided, following discussions about their future, to follow the original contract schedule. UNIS was formed through SBS’s survival reality show "Universe Ticket", aired in 2023, with the winning contestants signing a two-year-and-six-month contract before making their debut on March 27, 2024, with their first mini album "WE UNIS". During their 2.5-year run, UNIS released 3 mini albums "WE UNIS", "CURIOUS", and "SWICY", along several single albums and digital singles, and performed extensively in South Korea and overseas.

Although UNIS was always intended to be a temporary group, the announcement has still left fans heartbroken. Some supporters had hoped that, following ZEROBASEONE’s continued activities beyond its original temporary-group arrangement, UNIS might also have a chance to remain together. Instead, the members will now begin new chapters separately, bringing an emotional end to a group that many fans had hoped could become permanent.

The magical girls of K-pop are back with another equally magical release. ILLIT has partnered with the anime "Magical Sisters LuluToriLi" once again, this time for its second season, lending their voices to the opening theme song, titled “Swingin’ Magic.” If there is only one word to describe this song, it is sparkly. So sparkly that it feels as though the composers used a glittery pen to fill every inch of the music sheet.

Since the song was created as an anime theme, its sound is more grounded in J-pop, blending New Jack Swing rhythm with bright harmonies. Yet it never loses the dreamy quality that has become synonymous with ILLIT. The members' airy vocals glide over the instrumental rather than overpowering it.

“Swingin’ Magic” is a charming addition to ILLIT’s growing collection of whimsical releases. Sparkly, playful, and effortlessly catchy, the song captures the magic of its anime world while staying true to ILLIT’s dreamy identity.
