TWICE's Jeongyeon Sparks Acting Speculation After Agency Meeting

Jeongyeon (TWICE) for Marie Claire

TWICE member Jeongyeon has sparked fresh speculation about a possible move into acting after reports revealed she recently met with Baro Entertainment, the agency that represents several Korean actors. While the meeting has fueled rumors about her next career step, the company emphasized that no contract or future plans have been finalized.

The discussions come as TWICE and JYP Entertainment continue negotiations over the group's contract renewals, with the agency stating that talks are ongoing and updates will be shared once decisions are reached. Any potential agency change could also open new opportunities for Jeongyeon beyond music, although neither side has confirmed plans for acting or management changes.

Despite online speculation linking the agency meeting to an acting debut or an exit from TWICE, there has been no indication that Jeongyeon plans to stop being an idol, and any future acting activities would not necessarily affect her career as a member of the group.

Mark Lee Apologizes After Backlash Over Confederate Flag T-Shirt

Mark Lee has issued a public apology after facing widespread criticism for wearing a vintage T-shirt featuring the Confederate flag, a symbol widely associated with slavery, racism and white supremacy in the United States. The controversy erupted after photos of the singer circulated online, prompting backlash from international fans and renewed discussions about cultural awareness in the global entertainment industry.

In a statement released through his independent label, Upper Room, Mark and the company apologized for the distress caused by the outfit, explaining that the shirt had been selected as a vintage fashion item without recognizing the significance of the emblem. The agency said it removed the visible design from official content once its historical meaning became clear and accepted responsibility for the oversight, adding that both the company and artist reject racism, discrimination and hate in all forms.

The incident drew heightened attention because it surfaced around Juneteenth, the U.S. federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery. Mark, who debuted with NCT in 2016, recently began his solo career after departing SM Entertainment in April to establish his own label, making the controversy one of the first major challenges of his independent career.

Favorite New Music This Week

Just months after their debut, Hearts2Hearts return with "Lemon Tang," a bright and refreshing mini album that further establishes the group's musical identity.

Instead of following the recent wave of high-octane rave and EDM-driven girl group releases, the six-track project confidently embraces melodic pop, pairing breezy production with themes of first love, friendship, and youth. Every song feels purposefully sequenced, making the album flow naturally from beginning to end rather than revolving around a single standout track.

While "Lemon Tang" rarely takes creative risks, its strength lies in its consistency and polished execution. It is an effortlessly enjoyable summer record that showcases Hearts2Hearts' growing confidence and suggests the group is more interested in refining its own sound than chasing short-lived trends. Touch wood, they keep it that way.
