Miss Piggy To Get Her Spotlight in New Feature Film

Miss Piggy is finally getting the Hollywood treatment that she’s always deserved, with an A-list set of producers giving their helping hand. Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone are joining forces with writer and comedian Cole Escola for a brand-new film centered on the Muppets icon, currently in early stages of development at Disney. The project marks the first-ever feature film focused entirely on the fabulous diva herself, originally created by Bonnie Erickson and Frank Oz in the 1970s.

Lawrence let the glittery secret slip during an episode of Las Culturistas with Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, saying, “I don’t know if I can announce this but I am just going to … Emma Stone and I are producing a Miss Piggy movie and Cole is writing it.” When pressed on whether she and Stone would also appear on-screen, Lawrence coyly replied, “I think so. We have to…” If that’s true, Miss Piggy’s long-awaited close-up could be one of Hollywood’s most fabulous triple acts yet.

Anok Yai to be Honored as “Model of the Year” at The Fashion Awards

Anok, born in Egypt to South Sudanese parents and raised in the U.S., has quickly become a prominent figure in modern fashion. In the past year, she has led major campaigns for the likes of Versace and Saint Laurent, appeared on the cover of Vogue France, and remains the face of Mugler’s Alien fragrances. Her striking presence and dedication to representation make her recognition as Model of the Year well-deserved.

“KPop Demon Hunters” Sequel Officially in the Works at Netflix and Sony

Get ready for more demon-slaying and pop perfection, Netflix and Sony have confirmed a sequel to KPop Demon Hunters is on the way. The animated musical hit, which became Netflix’s most-watched movie ever with over 325 million views, is set to return to screens in 2029. Since animated films take years to produce, the long wait makes sense, but the release timeline could change as production continues.

The first KPop Demon Hunters made history earlier this year as the first Netflix film to reach No. 1 at the box office, boasting a $19 million opening weekend. While fans will need to be patient for the next chapter, one thing is certain: the Hunter/x girls are not done saving the world, or taking over the charts, just yet.

Ariana Grande Says She’s Fallen Back in Love with Music

Ariana Grande is rediscovering her joy for music after years of feeling disconnected from it. In a new New York Times interview, the pop star and Wicked actress reflected on how stepping away from the spotlight helped her repair her relationship with her art. “There was something broken about my relationship to pop music that was healed recently through the time away,” she said, explaining that fame and constant public scrutiny had stripped the joy from her craft. Now, with a new team, a world tour planned for 2026, and a renewed sense of creative balance between acting and music, Grande says she feels more inspired than ever: “I’ve never felt this connected to my art or inspired, and that’s just been such a tremendous gift.”

Best New Track: Sauvignon Blanc by Rosalía

Few artists today are anything like Rosalía.

LUX calls out men who expect women to be docile and detached. Rosalía sings that she’s “guapa para Dios” — hot for God. The album takes a different direction from Motomami, her critically acclaimed 2022 record.

“Berghain” sets the stage for one of the most fascinating collaborations of the year. “Sauvignon Blanc” seems to be the stand-out ballad here, though.

I'm no longer afraid of the past / It's at the bottom of my glass of Sauvignon Blanc,” she sings. The wine, interestingly, is typically dry. She’s not afraid to mix fire with reflection.

Even the past, she seems to say, can taste a little sweet in the end.
