Apink Announces Comeback Plans for 2026

As second-gen girl group Apink’s one member, Son Naeun, left the group in 2022, and the other four members except Jung Eunji changed their agencies, fans were worried about the group breaking up. However, just as the group promised, the five members continued their group activities with the 2025 Apink 7th concert "PINK NEW YEAR," and will continue to do so in 2026.

On Monday, SPOTV News reported that Apink is gearing up to make a comeback early next year. Later, the group confirmed this news via X. The in-talks 2026 comeback will serve as a celebration of the group's 15th debut anniversary.

After working under YG Entertainment for 12 years, the sibling duo AKMU is parting ways with the agency to go independent.

On Friday, YG Entertainment posted an official statement saying that six months ago, AKMU found themselves standing at a crossroads, unable to choose between continuing with YGE in a comfortable and familiar environment or taking on a new challenge by going solo, and the CEO of YGE encouraged them to choose the latter.

"KPop Demon Hunters" Get Banned in British School

The recent "KPop Demon Hunters" ban by a school in Britain has left K-pop fans puzzled.

On Wednesday, news circulated on social media platforms that Lilliput Church of England Infant School, a Christian school in Poole, Dorset, has banned singing any of the "KPop Demon Hunters" songs, saying "the film’s tunes do not uphold its Christian ethos." The staff also said the themes are linked to “spiritual forces opposed to God and goodness.”

While religious institutes banning certain media is a widely hated yet common practice, what confused K-pop fans was that the theme of the movie "KPop Demon Hunters," as the name suggests, revolves around hunting down demons and evil spirits, which in theory aligns with Christianity, evident by the lyrics from "TAKE DOWN," a "KPop Demon Hunters" song "'Cause I see your real face, and it's ugly as sin / Time to put you in your place 'cause you're rotten within."

Favorite New Music This Week

After there successful debut this September, IDID made a comeback this week with a “Push Back,” a confident, sharp-angled reminder to stop shrinking yourself and start owning your truth. Built on gritty bass and a slick guitar undercurrent, the track blends swagger with sincerity as the members declare, “Take off the price tag / that doesn’t fit, just walk my way.”

Their message is simple but resonant: breaking molds isn’t reckless, it’s liberating.

Lines like “Failure is not the end but a prologue to me” anchor the song’s coming-of-age spirit, while the addictive hook, “If you wanna get to know me, don’t push back,” turns self-acceptance into an anthem.

It’s energetic, quirky, and surprisingly reflective; another promising step in IDID’s growing artistic identity.
