TV host and entertainer Nick Cannon is drawing attention after making controversial political comments on a recent episode of his web talk show Big Drive.

During the discussion, Cannon agreed with guest Amber Rose, who claimed that Democrats “don’t care about people of color and the Republicans do.” Cannon responded, “I agree with you 100%,” before adding, “People don’t know that the Democrats are the party of the KKK.”

He continued by referencing historical claims about both major U.S. parties. “People don’t know that the Republicans are the party that freed the slaves,” he added.

Later on, he clarified his broader political stance. “I don’t subscribe to either party… there’s no such thing as two parties. It’s just one evil party with two different names,” he asserted, citing civil rights figure W. E. B. Du Bois.

Cannon’s remarks quickly sparked online debate, with critics pointing out that while factions of the Democratic Party were historically linked to the rise of the Ku Klux Klan after the Civil War, historians do not broadly equate the modern party with the group.

Kim Novak criticizes Sydney Sweeney’s casting as her in upcoming film ‘SCANDALOUS’

Hollywood icon Kim Novak voiced strong concerns about Scandalous!, the halted directorial debut of Colman Domingo, which explores her real-life romance with Sammy Davis Jr.

In a recent interview, Novak said she “would never have approved” of Sydney Sweeney portraying her, criticizing the casting choice.

“There’s no way it wouldn’t be a sexual relationship because Sydney Sweeney looks sexy all the time,” she said. “She was totally wrong to play me.”

Novak expressed concern about the film’s direction, fearing it would emphasize physical aspects of the relationship rather than its emotional depth. She insisted that she and Davis “had so much in common,” suggesting their connection went beyond what she believes the film might depict.

Domingo previously described the project as a “fractured love story,” saying the goal was to capture “the possibility of love… trying to have privacy, trying to have a life.”

Novak and Davis’ relationship began in the late 1950s at the height of their fame but faced intense backlash due to racial tensions in the United States. Public scrutiny and industry pressure ultimately forced them apart.

12-ton shipment of KitKat bars gets stolen

Chocolate lovers may feel the impact of an unusual pre-holiday crime after a major shipment of KitKat bars was stolen while en route to distributors across Europe.

Parent company Nestlé confirmed that a truck carrying more than 400,000 units, about 12 tons, of chocolate from a new product line was taken on March 26. The vehicle had departed from a factory in central Italy and was headed to Poland when it was intercepted. Authorities have yet to recover either the truck or its cargo.

No injuries were reported during the incident, but the scale of the theft has raised concerns about potential supply disruptions ahead of the Easter season, a peak time for confectionery sales.

In a statement, Nestlé addressed the situation with a mix of humor and concern. “We’ve always encouraged people to have a break with KitKat,” the company said. “But it seems thieves have taken the message too literally and made a break with more than 12 tons of our chocolate.”

The company added a more serious note, warning that cargo theft is becoming more widespread. “Whilst we appreciate the criminals’ exceptional taste, the fact remains that cargo theft is an escalating issue,” the statement read.

Nestlé said it is working closely with local authorities and supply chain partners as the investigation continues, while industry watchers monitor whether the heist will affect supply in the coming weeks.
