Olivia’s Cryptic Countdown, Bruno’s New Era & Harry’s Comeback

Olivia Rodrigo's "Department of Driving Home 2 U" is Open.

It looks like Olivia Rodrigo is gearing up for a major trip down memory lane. Ahead of the five-year anniversary of her debut single, “Drivers License,” the pop star has wiped her usual website in favor of a cryptic submission form. Fans visiting the site are now greeted by a faux renewal application from the “Department of Driving Home 2 U,” which asks for an email address and features a "file number" that serves as a subtle nod to the release date of her debut album, Sour.

The most tantalizing detail, however, is hidden in the "appointment information" section of the document. It points toward January 8 at 9 a.m. PT, the exact five-year anniversary of the day "Drivers License" was first released online in 2021. By trading her standard homepage for this interactive application, Rodrigo has ensured that all eyes are on her website this Wednesday as the clock ticks down to the designated appointment time.

Bruno Mars Confirms His Fourth Solo Album Is Finished

The long wait for a solo Bruno Mars era is officially coming to an end. A decade after the diamond-certified success of 24K Magic, the pop icon took to X on Monday to deliver a characteristically brief but earth-shaking update: “My album is done.” While specific details regarding the title or tracklist remain under wraps, the announcement marks his first full solo project since 2016, following years of high-profile collaborations and his Grammy-sweeping detour as one-half of Silk Sonic with Anderson.Paak.

Mars hasn't exactly been quiet during the hiatus, most recently dominating the charts with massive duets like the Lady Gaga collab “Die With a Smile,” which picked up a trophy at the 2025 Grammys, and his viral hit “APT” with Rosé. The latter is currently heading into next month’s awards ceremony with three nominations, including Record and Song of the Year.

Billboard Hints at Harry Styles’ Comeback

It’s been almost four years since Harry’s House ruled the charts, the longest quiet stretch of Harry Styles’ solo career. But those Love on Tour withdrawal symptoms might finally be getting a cure. Billboard have reported that the industry is buzzing about a possible massive world tour as early as this summer, with chatter about a multi-night Wembley Stadium takeover.

The rumors have already kicked into high gear after some very intentional moves on Harry’s official YouTube channel. Out of nowhere, his team uploaded a video from his final night in Italy, soundtracked by a lush new instrumental titled “Forever, Forever,” which fans are already treating like a breadcrumb for whatever comes next.

POP FACT: On this day in 2003, 50 Cent released his mega-hit, “In Da Club.” It spent 9 weeks at #1 on the Hot 100.
