Pop sensation Lady Gaga is set to make a triumphant return to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The iconic singer-songwriter has been confirmed as one of the three headliners for the 2025 festival, alongside rock legends Green Day and now-Country superstar Post Malone.

Gaga, who previously headlined Coachella in 2017, will take the stage on Friday nights of both weekends. Green Day will headline on Saturdays, and Post Malone will close out the festival on Sundays.

In addition to the main headliners, the 2025 Coachella lineup boasts a diverse range of artists, including Charli XCX, Missy Elliott, Megan Thee Stallion, Benson Boone, LISA, Shaboozey, The Go-Go’s, and FKA Twigs.

Gaga's return to Coachella coincides with the release of her highly anticipated seventh studio album, which is scheduled for February 2025. Fans can expect to hear both classic hits and new tracks from the album, including the lead single "Disease."

Green Day is currently on a world tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of "American Idiot" and the 30th anniversary of "Dookie," while Post Malone is riding high on the success of his Grammy-nominated album "F-1 Trillion."

Coachella 2025 will take place over two weekends: April 11-13 and April 18-20. Presale tickets are available now.

Billie Eilish Named Apple Music’s Artist Of The Year

Billie Eilish, the enigmatic pop sensation, has once again captured the spotlight by achieving another milestone in her burgeoning career. Eilish has been recognised by Apple Music as their “Artist Of The Year” for 2024, a prestigious accolade not only highlighting her exceptional artistic contributions but also cementing her position as a defining voice of her generation.

This isn't Eilish's first time receiving this honor. She was the inaugural recipient of the award back in 2019. Her latest accolade comes on the heels of a remarkable year, marked by the release of her critically acclaimed album, "Hit Me Hard and Soft," and her powerful contribution to the "Barbie" soundtrack with the emotionally resonant song, "What Was I Made For?"

Eilish's unique blend of dark pop, introspective lyrics, and striking visuals has captivated audiences worldwide. Her ability to connect with listeners on a deep emotional level has made her one of the most influential artists of her time. With each new release, she continues to push boundaries and redefine the boundaries of popular music.

Robert Pattinson Joins Christopher Nolan’s Next Film

Christopher Nolan's next film is shaping up to be an all-star affair. Robert Pattinson is in negotiations to join an ensemble cast that already includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, and Lupita Nyong'o. The film is slated for an IMAX release on July 17, 2026.

Universal had no comment on the casting of Pattinson.

The movie is expected to start shooting in early 2025, but sources note that loglines or descriptions of the film that have been published to date are wrong, with details being kept under wraps. Nolan's penchant for summer blockbusters and his commitment to the cinematic experience is well-known. The July release date aligns with his past successful films, including the recent Oscar-winning Oppenheimer. As details about the plot and Pattinson's role remain shrouded in mystery, anticipation for this Nolan-directed spectacle continues to build.

If a deal closes, Robert Pattinson will reunite with Christopher Nolan after their collaboration on Tenet. This would mark Pattinson's second appearance in a Nolan film.

New Music Friday

Well — no one really ever mourns the wicked anyway.

It was a long time coming, but the Wicked movie and soundtrack have both graciously arrived today. Featuring the incredible Cynthia Erivo and just as wonderful Ariana Grande, we get the first act of the Broadway musical which involves 11 songs — of those including “Popular” and the high-powered “Defying Gravity.” Kristen Chenoweth and Idina Menzel actually sing on “One Short Day” which is a really neat callback to the musical’s original production.

The Moana 2 soundtrack also released. Opetaia Foa’i and Mark Mancini returned from the original film to compose these songs. There’s some great and simply fun tunes all throughout this project, like “Can I Get A Chee Hoo?” sang by Dwayne Johnson. The accompanying movie releases next week.

And while it’s been just barely a week since “LIGHT AGAIN!” Lil Nas X has already put out a new song. “Need Dat Boy” has a really wild and very delirious ending. It’s actually a great time.

Jack Harlow’s “Hello Miss Johnson” is a nice song. The production feels pretty intimate and the chorus is a tiny musical ear worm.

Grace VanderWaal released the acoustic version of her sorrow filled single “What’s Left of Me.” Her vocals, beautifully haunting as ever, create a really, really beautiful take of an already so-good song.

ROSÉ’s new song “number one girl” is co-produced by her “APT.” collaborator and the ever so brilliant Bruno Mars. This song — in its soundscape especially — is quite distant from the hit “APT” though. Here we get ROSÉ at her most vulnerable yet. “Isn’t it lonely / I’d do anything to make you want me,” she sings in the song’s chorus. We find the most interesting facet of these lyrics being the uncertainty of whether ROSÉ is singing to a lover or the general public. You should take note of the words: “Tell me I’m that new thing / Tell me that I’m relevant.” Aside from just that, the melody is great. We have to give her our favorite release this week.
