Demi Moore Finally Gets Her Flowers For ‘The Substance’

Demi Moore achieved a career milestone at the Golden Globes, winning the award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role in "The Substance."

Accepting the award, a visibly shocked Moore expressed disbelief, stating, "I really wasn't expecting this. I'm just in shock right now." She reflected on her long career, spanning over 45 years, acknowledging this as her first acting award and expressing deep gratitude.

Moore, 62, shared a poignant anecdote about a past encounter with a movie producer who dismissed her as a "popcorn actress" roughly 30 years ago.

"At that time, I internalized that label, believing it limited my potential," Moore confessed. "This belief eroded my confidence over the years, leading me to question my acting career altogether a few years back. I wondered if I had accomplished all I was meant to."

Demi Moore revealed that the script for "The Substance" arrived at a crucial turning point in her life. "I was at a low point," she shared, "and then this incredible, audacious, and utterly bonkers script landed on my desk. It felt like a message from the universe – you're not finished yet."

Moore's win was met with jubilant celebrations from her loved ones. A video capturing their enthusiastic reactions was shared on Instagram with the simple yet powerful caption: "She did it!"

"The Substance," a feminist fable penned and directed by French filmmaker Coralie Fargeat, serves as a cautionary tale about the perils of obsessing over youth.

Reflecting on the film's message, Moore concluded, "In those moments when we doubt ourselves – when we feel inadequate, insufficient, or simply 'not enough' – remember this: you will never be enough for everyone. But you can recognize your own inherent worth by discarding the measuring stick."

The anticipation for the 2025 Grammy Awards is building, with just weeks to go until the music industry’s most prestigious night. Billboard have unveiled their predictions, and at the forefront is Beyoncé. Her electrifying country album, ‘COWBOY CARTER’, looks set to dominate the major categories, showcasing remarkable vocals and a pioneering sound that appears to have left a lasting impression on the Recording Academy.

Chappell Roan is hotly tipped to win ‘Best New Artist’, her distinctive fusion of pop and country has captivated listeners globally. Her album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, has earned her a reputation as a rising star, positioning her as a strong contender.

While Beyoncé and Roan are leading the charge, the lineup of talent doesn’t stop there. Billboard predict Billie Eilish & Finneas to win ‘Song of the Year’ with “Birds of a Feather”, with Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” looking favorite to win ‘Record of the Year.’

Nicki Minaj’s Arrest Warrant Denied Due to Insufficient Evidence

The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office has declined a request from the Detroit Police Department to issue an arrest warrant against Nicki Minaj. The request stemmed from assault allegations made by her former manager, Brandon Garrett.

A spokesperson for the Prosecutor's Office confirmed to TMZ that the request was denied due to insufficient evidence. However, the office has directed the Detroit Police Department to conduct a more thorough investigation into the matter.

Garrett filed a civil lawsuit against Minaj, alleging that she assaulted him during a tour stop in Detroit in April 2024. He claims the incident arose from a disagreement over Minaj's personal prescriptions. According to Garrett, Minaj "flew into a rage," struck him in the face, slapped his wrist, and even made threats against his life.

Minaj's legal team has vehemently denied all allegations, labeling the lawsuit as "completely false and frivolous."

While Minaj is currently safe from arrest, the Prosecutor's Office's demand for further investigation indicates that the possibility of future legal action remains open, depending on the outcome of the police's continued investigation.
