Mattel issues apology after accidentally linking adult site on packaging of Wicked dolls

Mattel Inc. released a statement after mistakenly printing the link to a pornographic site on the packaging of their new Wicked dolls collection.

Universal Pictures

Instead of inputting “WickedMovie.com,” the toy manufacturer erroneously printed “Wicked.com.” Upon clicking, the link directs the user to a landing page that restricts access to “adults (18+) only” and a warning that the site “displays sexually-oriented, including explicit, material of a pornographic nature.”

Mattel was made aware of a misprint on the packaging of the Mattel Wicked collection dolls, primarily sold in the US, which intended to direct consumers to the official WickedMovie.com landing page,” explained the company. “We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this.“ — Bea Bertuldo

Doja Cat, known for her genre-bending music and captivating performances, has once again piqued the curiosity of her fans. Fresh off the release of her double album Scarlet and Scarlet 2 Claude, the Grammy-nominated artist has taken to social media to tease a new project.

On November 11th, Doja shared a cryptic list of 13 song titles on X, formerly known as Twitter. The list includes a diverse range of intriguing titles such as "Cards," "Break My Heart," "Take Me Dancing," and "Crack." While the artist has remained tight-lipped about the nature of this new project, the sheer number of tracks suggests a substantial body of work.

John Krasinski Crowned People’s Sexiest Man Alive of 2024

People Magazine

Actor and filmmaker, John Krasinski, has been named People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" of 2024. Renowned for his portrayal of Jim Halpert in the beloved US version of The Office, Krasinski has also made significant strides as a director, most notably with the critically acclaimed horror films A Quiet Place and its sequel, in which he starred alongside his wife, Emily Blunt.

The 45-year-old's unexpected honor left him momentarily stunned. "Just immediate blackout, actually. Just zero thoughts," he confessed. When asked about his wife's reaction, Krasinski shared her playful response: "She joked she was going to wallpaper the house with the cover of People Magazine."

Lady Gaga is set to make a surprise appearance in the highly anticipated second season of Netflix's Wednesday. While the specifics of her role remain shrouded in mystery, sources confirm that she will be making a cameo in the series, which is currently filming in Ireland.

Initial plans had aimed to secure Gaga for a more substantial role in Season 2, but scheduling conflicts prevented this from materializing. Nevertheless, her cameo promises to add an extra layer of intrigue to the already dark and whimsical world of Wednesday. — Katie MacBeth

Best New Track: FKA Twigs released “Drums of Death” featuring Koreless. Twigs first teased this song in the “Eusexua” music video during a choreographed dance break that went partly viral on X. The song is incredibly addicting, having already found its way onto our repeat playlist, and we’re so looking forward to the album’s full release. We have to give this our favorite release of the week. Eusexua is out January 24. — Dawson Therre
