Lady Gaga Unleashes Seventh Studio Album, MAYHEM

Long-awaited and teased for months, Lady Gaga's seventh studio album, "MAYHEM," is set to be released on March 7th via Interscope Records. Fans will get their first taste of the new music this Sunday, February 2nd, with the debut of a new single and its accompanying music video during a commercial break at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

In a press release, Gaga described the album's creation as a journey of confronting her anxieties about returning to the pop music style that endeared her to early fans. "It was like reassembling a shattered mirror," she explained, "Even if you can't perfectly piece it back together, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own unique way." "MAYHEM" was executive-produced by Gaga alongside fiancé Michael Polansky and Andrew Watt, with additional production credits going to Watt, Cirkut, and Gesaffelstein.

Speculation about the "Chromatica" follow-up intensified last September when she announced during the promotion for "Joker: Folie à Deux" that the new album would be released in February 2025. While slightly off schedule, "MAYHEM" will finally arrive in March. In the interim, Gaga released the single "Disease" along with a music video, and a series of teasers, including a Times Square billboard and a countdown clock on her website that culminated in the album announcement. The album will feature her 2024 collaboration with Bruno Mars, "Die With a Smile," alongside "Disease," bookending the 14-song tracklist.

Selena Gomez publicly expressed her distress over recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids, which resulted in the arrests of 956 individuals across the United States. In an emotional video posted to Instagram on Monday, the 32-year-old actress and singer, who is of Mexican-American descent, voiced her concern and frustration, stating, "I just want to say that I'm so sorry. All my people are getting attacked. The children. I don't understand. I'm so sorry I wish I could do something but I can't."

While the video was later removed, it sparked strong reactions from some supporters of the current administration. Notably, former U.S. Senate candidate Sam Parker called for Gomez to be deported from the country.

Gomez swiftly responded to Parker's comments via Instagram, writing, "Oh Mr. Parker, Mr. Parker. Thanks for the laugh and the threat."
