AEG Presents CEO reveals that Taylor Swift refused to do dynamic pricing for Eras Tour

As the Eras Tour prepares to come to a close next month, AEG Presents CEO Jay Marciano sat down for a conversation with HITS Daily Double where he talked about the current touring landscape and, of course, the highest-grossing tour of all time.
He confirmed that when it came to her fans’ buck, Swift opted not to do the notorious dynamic pricing for her record-breaking tour: ‘She had an opportunity to dynamically price her tickets, and she didn’t want to do that to her fans. She was willing to make decisions that potentially cut into her income because she was taking a long-term view of her career’.
The practice of dynamic pricing has long been a nightmare for music fans when trying to buy tickets to see their favorite artist in concert. In simple words, dynamic pricing entails the price drastically rising when demand for something is high. The Eras Tour, which concludes next month in Vancouver, is reportedly the first tour in history to gross over a billion dollars.

Cardi B speaks at Kamala Harris rally

On Friday night, Cardi B helped rally voters with a speech for Kamala Harris in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The rapper spoke about why she’s voting for the Vice President in Tuesday’s election and took a few shots at Donald Trump, as well: “Donny Dump, if your definition of protection is making sure our daughters have fewer rights than their mothers, then I don’t want it.”
Earlier this year, Cardi B made headlines for stating that she would not be voting for either Joe Biden or Donald Trump during an interview with Rolling Stone. However, in an Instagram live to her followers after Friday’s rally, Cardi said Kamala changed her mind, citing her competence to get the job done as President of the United States. In her rally speech, Cardi also stated that she would like to see Harris serve two terms of presidency and take helm of the White House for eight years.

The Christmas queen has made this a tradition since her classic All I Want For Christmas Is You became more popular than ever in recent years and topped the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time in 2019 — something it has done every year since. As expected, the song began rising on streaming platforms as the Halloween fever settled, re-entering both the Global and U.S. Spotify charts on the November 2nd update. All I Want For Christmas Is You led the pack of a handful of holiday classics that also re-entered the charts, such as Last Christmas, Jingle Bell Rock and Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree.

Best New Track: Put your best mask on. Tyler, The Creator released his album CHROMAKOPIA earlier this week. There is some absolutely impressive content happening in this range of songs. We’re traveling all through the rapper’s mind, paranoia and self-obsessiveness. On “Take Your Mask Off” which features Daniel Caesar and LaToiya Williams, Tyler seems to be, in the closing verse, talking directly to himself. “Boy, you selfish as f*ck / That’s really why you scared of being a parent,” he says. We have to give him our favorite release this week — if just for his vulnerability.
