A serious allegation is making headlines after Ruby Rose accused pop star Katy Perry of misconduct in a series of viral social media posts.
The controversy began when Rose responded to an online post about Perry, writing, “Katy Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a shit what she thinks.” The claim quickly spread, prompting followers to press for more details about the alleged incident.
Rose later shared a graphic account of what she says happened, stating, “She didn’t kiss me. She saw me ‘resting’ on my best [friends] lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her.”
She also explained why she had not previously spoken about the allegation in the same way, writing, “After it I threw up on her, I told the story publicly but changed it to be a ‘funny little drunk story’ because I didn’t know how else to handle it.” She added, “Later she agreed to help me get my US visa. So I kept it a secret.”
A representative for Perry strongly denied the accusation in a statement, saying, “The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies. Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.”

Pop powerhouse Taylor Swift is once again dominating awards season, leading the nominations for this year’s American Music Awards with an impressive eight nods. Among her top categories are artist of the year, song of the year for “The Fate of Ophelia,” and album of the year for “The Life of a Showgirl,” further cementing her status as one of the industry’s most influential figures.
Swift, already the most awarded artist in AMAs history, continues to build on her legacy following the massive success of her Eras Tour, which became the highest-grossing concert tour ever. Her ongoing efforts to re-record her earlier albums have also reshaped conversations around artist ownership in the music business.
Trailing closely behind are Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Dean, SOMBR, and Morgan Wallen, each earning seven nominations. Carpenter is also competing for artist of the year, while Dean and SOMBR celebrate their first-ever AMA recognition.
The winners will be decided by fans and revealed during a live ceremony in Las Vegas on May 25, hosted by Queen Latifah and broadcast on CBS and Paramount+.

The recent controversy involving footballer Jorginho and rising pop star Chappell Roan has now been clarified, with the athlete confirming the singer was not responsible for an incident that sparked widespread attention online.
The situation began when Jorginho alleged that a security guard confronted his wife, Catherine Harding, and her 11-year-old daughter Ada at a hotel in São Paulo after the child recognized Roan. The encounter reportedly left the young girl in tears and quickly drew backlash on social media, with some criticism directed toward the singer.
However, in a new statement, Jorginho walked back any connection to Roan, explaining, “the situation did occur as described” but that “we acted on information that was available to us.” He added that the guard has since confirmed he “was representing another artist at the hotel at the time.”
Jorginho also acknowledged Roan’s response, noting, “It became clear that she had no knowledge of what took place at breakfast and had not asked anyone to approach them.” He further emphasized, “It was, ultimately, a misunderstanding… and I am glad to set the record straight.”
The midfielder concluded by expressing regret over the situation’s impact and urging against online hostility, saying he does not “support or encourage hate speech or online attacks from any side."
