Taylor Swift’s Life of a Showgirl Set to Break Adele’s Historic Sales Record

Nearly ten years after Adele’s 25 shattered industry records with 3.4 million first-week sales, Taylor Swift appears ready to set a new benchmark in music history. Swift’s latest album, Life of a Showgirl, released on October 3, has already amassed a staggering 2.7 million sales on its first day, putting it on pace for an unprecedented 3.5 to 4 million in its debut week, according to industry forecasts.

Analysts predict that Life of a Showgirl will easily secure the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 and potentially claim the title of the biggest first-week sales total of all time. The final numbers, expected to be revealed on Sunday, October 12, could mark a defining moment in Swift’s already record-breaking career, one that cements her as the dominant force of the streaming and physical sales era alike.

Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild” Tops Rolling Stone’s GRAMMY Predictions

Rolling Stone has unveiled its forecast for the 2025 GRAMMY Awards’ Song of the Year, with Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild” at the forefront of predicted nominees. Other notable contenders include Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra,” Bad Bunny’s “Baile Inolvidable,” Chappell Roan’s “The Subway,” Kendrick Lamar’s “Luther,” Gracie Abrams’ “That’s So True,” Alex Warren’s “Ordinary,” and “Golden” by HUNTR/X.

The publication anticipates Carpenter’s track to win, though it suggests that Gracie Abrams’ “That’s So True” might deserve the honor most. From Gaga’s theatrical style to Bad Bunny’s worldwide appeal and Roan’s bold artistry, Rolling Stone states these songs have defined the sound of 2025.

Nicole Kidman Reunites with Chanel as Global Ambassador

Nicole Kidman made her official return to Chanel on Monday evening, reuniting with the French fashion house as a global ambassador just in time for Matthieu Blazy’s debut collection at Paris Fashion Week. The Oscar-winning actress, who famously fronted Chanel’s iconic No. 5 fragrance campaign directed by Baz Luhrmann over two decades ago, attended the show in an oversized white tuxedo shirt and relaxed denim - signalling a fresh, modern chapter for the brand.

Blazy, who previously worked with Kidman during his time at Bottega Veneta, described her as “the embodiment of the Chanel woman - free and ever-changing.” Kidman shared her excitement about rejoining the house and witnessing Blazy’s vision come to life. Also joining Chanel’s roster of ambassadors is The Bear star Ayo Edebiri, whose partnership with the brand was confirmed alongside Kidman’s return.
