EVAN Makes First Public Appearance After Exiting ENHYPEN

On Wednesday, former ENHYPEN member Heeseung made his first public appearance after leaving the group, under the name EVAN.

The idol attended a photocall event on Wednesday afternoon at a Musinsa Megastore for a colored contact lens brand. This marked EVAN’s first solo schedule, indicating a new chapter in his solo career after leaving ENHYPEN last month.

While the idol appeared cheerful during the event, some OT7 fans who continue to demand his return to the group pointed out the disconnect between a Dunkin’ Donuts Philippines video posted on X the same day, featuring all six ENHYPEN members alongside EVAN, with the caption “45 never looked this iconic. Thanks for the love, @ENHYPEN.”

Despite EVAN’s abrupt exit from the boy group, he remains under the same label, BE:LIFT, and recently teased his solo activities on his new Instagram account. Although no official date for his solo debut has been announced yet, EVAN will be performing as a solo artist at KCON LA this August.

SEVENTEEN in Talks to Make Acting Debut in Upcoming K-Drama

On Wednesday, sources reported that SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan is in talks to make his acting debut in the K-drama “Wednesday, Thursday, Friday” (working title), after he recently participated in the official script reading for the project. PLEDIS Entertainment, SEVENTEEN’s label, confirmed the news and added, “We are coordinating the detailed schedule.”

Aside from occasional cameos, this would make Seungkwan the third member of SEVENTEEN to act in a major production, as Dokyeom appeared in a lead role in “XCalibur,” and Jun has been actively working in the acting industry since childhood and has a C-drama, “The Whimsical Return,” set to release this year.

The K-drama “Wednesday, Thursday, Friday” is a rom-com centered around a restaurant that opens three days a week: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Although Seungkwan’s character in the K-drama has not yet been revealed, fans are anticipating the start of the idol’s acting career, especially after his viral short film with his groupmate for their concert “DxS SERENADE ON STAGE” where Seungkwan acted as a woman named Boo Yeomi.

TWICE’s Sana and Momo Become “Devil Wears Prada 2” Japan Ambassadors

Instagram Reel

Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway announced TWICE’s Sana and Momo as the Japan ambassadors for “Devil Wears Prada 2” at the film’s Japan premiere on Thursday. While introducing Sana and Momo, the movie stars described the Japanese K-pop idol pair as women who “embody confidence, style, and presence: the true spirit of this film.”

Sana and Momo’s connection with the movie as its Japan ambassadors goes beyond their nationality, as Sana has been representing Prada since 2023, and Momo became the Japan ambassador for Miu Miu, a brand under the Prada Group, the same year.

For the premiere, the pair wore looks from their respective brands. Sana donned a custom strawberry-red Prada sablé silk dress with a bib-style bodice, while Momo opted for a custom Miu Miu ensemble, pairing a red knit dress with a satin bra layer.

Favorite New Music This Week

Cortis released “REDRED,” a partially self-written, bold and energetic pre-release for the group’s upcoming album “GREENGREEN” this Monday, and the track perfectly depicts the group’s growing identity.

Known for their aggressive hip-hop sound, Cortis once again layer their signature chant-driven style over a pulsating, rave-inspired beat in this synth-heavy track. The production feels alive, balancing intensity with a sense of fun that makes it surprisingly addictive. With lyrics calling out trends and the need for validation, “REDRED” ultimately serves as an anthem against following the crowd.

With the pre-release already a banger, it will be exciting to see what the group has in store for their upcoming album.
